As the founder of Dance Makeover, Art has dedicated his life to helping people experience deeper connection, confidence, and joy through movement, conscious partnership, and personal growth. While his journey began as an avid social dancer in 1976 and included decades of teaching, competing, DJing, organizing events, and leading the San Diego Chapter of USA Dance for more than ten years, his greatest passion has become the integration of partner dancing with the principles of Tantra.

A Tantra practitioner since the early 2000s, Art discovered the profound connection between conscious movement, presence, trust, and heart-centered connection. This inspired him to develop Tantra Dance, a unique practice that blends the structure and communication of partner dancing with the mindfulness, intimacy, and spiritual awareness of Tantra. The result is an experience that invites people to connect more deeply with themselves and others in a safe, playful, and authentic way.
